 What is Work BC Smithers?

WorkBC Smithers is one of many WorkBC Centres located across the province. The purpose of each Centre is to support British Columbians in getting – and keeping – a job as quickly as possible.

WorkBC Smithers offers a client-centered approach to a variety of integrated services and supports that are responsive and inclusive to labour market demands. WorkBC Smithers offer clients training, knowledge, support and accessible resources to assist in obtaining employment as quickly as possible.

 What is the Purpose of WorkBC Centres?

The purpose of WorkBC Centres are to provide employment services and supports to individuals, employers and communities in B.C. to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Clients become more independent through sustainable employment
  • WorkBC Centres contribute to an inclusive and progressive economy by helping employers and communities develop a strong work force.

WorkBC Smithers has staff ready to assist clients as best as they can in developing skills and finding jobs. We offer a broad spectrum of services and programs to meet the need of each job seeker. Our staff will work with you to determine the best services and supports that help you find success in your job search.
